As a partner at Emerald, Tammy looks across all categories in both consumer and commercial organizations. Tammy enjoys working with fun, smart people on big, thorny business challenges. Her PoV is built from her global, multi-disciplined experience in Product Marketing, Marketing Communications & Data Analytics, spanning technologies, business units and audiences. Tammy has spent her entire career working in technology and is passionate about translating data into actionable business strategy and insightful customer stories. Tammy is a graduate of the University of Washington. She and her husband Loren love to cheer on the Zags, where her daughter Lily is attending college.

As a partner at Emerald, Bernard works across technology categories, helping clients tackle complex business challenges spanning brand, product, go-to-market strategy, and emerging technologies. His perspective is shaped by more than 25 years in technology research and insights, including 15 years at Microsoft, where he worked across Windows, M365, Teams, Surface, Security, and Copilot. Bernard is passionate about turning customer understanding and data into clear, actionable business strategy, while increasingly exploring how AI is reshaping workflows, societal norms, and the practice of market research. He is also an adjunct professor in Michigan State University’s Master of Science in Marketing Research program, where he helps prepare the next generation of insights professionals to become leaders in the industry. Outside of work, Bernard enjoys photography, baseball (both pro and youth), college football, and reading.

Jeff has an extensive market research background, specializing in technology marketing and strategy. Prior to joining Emerald, Jeff established behavioral analytics and social intelligence practices at PSB Research.  He also spent more than a decade leading research initiatives at Microsoft for a variety of business units, including Office 365, Windows, Corporate Market Research, and SMB Segment Marketing. Jeff’s experience spans a breadth of research disciplines that include segmentation, positioning and messaging, SKU & pricing optimization, telemetry-based behavioral analysis and social intelligence.

With over 2 decades of experience in technology marketing research, Travis is passionate about helping clients to solve their largest business challenges. He has advised many Fortune 500 companies on strategic initiatives including advertising effectiveness, brand tracking, customer segmentation, message testing, campaign tracking, and concept testing. Travis's technology clients have included HP, Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Dell, Meta, Google, TikTok, EA, Epic, Activision, and Adobe. Having gotten his start in research in qualitative practices, he loves understanding how consumers feel, behave, and think. Prior to joining Emerald, Travis led client strategy and development across technology, gaming, and entertainment verticals at MarketCast, Maru/Matchbox, and Market Force Information.

As a Vice President at Emerald, Casey leads custom project execution and analysis, and is passionate about bringing numbers to life through storytelling. Her expertise lies in quant, with extensive experience in both consumer and B2B tech research. Equipped with a marketing degree from Michigan State University, Casey began her research career in 2015 managing custom projects for financial and tech clients. Since then, she has helped inform branding and product decisions for major banks, fintechs, gaming brands, social media companies, computer manufacturers, and commercial software organizations.

Stephanie loves helping organizations grow by effectively designing for, understanding, and communicating with the people they serve. For the past 12 years, she’s led custom research and brand strategy for global brands across sectors with an emphasis in technology. She comes alive while collaborating with others and making complex ideas digestible through clear writing, visualizations and frameworks. Stephanie has a BA in Journalism and an MBA. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two young children, taking walks or hikes in beautiful places, and listening to podcasts.

Naomi is VP at Emerald, and specializes in research across AI, emerging technologies, and innovation, helping organizations better understand people, markets, and what's next. She enjoys translating complex data into clear, actionable insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve challenging business questions. With a background spanning research, strategy, and education, Naomi brings curiosity, analytical rigor, and a people-first approach to every engagement. ​

Alex is a Director for Social Intelligence at Emerald. With a passion for using innovative methods to answer clients’ toughest business questions, Alex’s diverse consulting background melds together experience from solving tech, finance, gaming, and food industry problems. He has a passion for leveraging all research tools at his disposal, inclusive of analytics, innovative methods such as social intelligence and digital research, and direct-to-consumer methods to ensure that a comprehensive story is told when diving into solving obstacles. Formerly at PSB Insights and PK Global, Alex’s integrated knowledge of social intelligence, quant, and qual insights provides clients with the opportunity to approach business questions with a holistic approach. Aside from crafting stories with data, Alex can be found on the soccer field, watching the Sounders or Seahawks, or reading about history.

Nora is passionate about translating clients’ business questions and needs into research design and insights that help organizations take action. She has more than 15 years of experience leading custom research for global brands, with a focus on technology. She loves uncovering customer motivations, translating them into compelling narratives that shape brand, marketing, and product strategies. She thrives when collaborating and mentoring others to become their best insights and strategy professionals. Outside of work, she loves reading books with her son, growing flowers in the garden, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks.

Driven by a deep curiosity about human behavior and decision-making, Kayla has spent the past five years helping businesses translate complex data into strategic, actionable insights. As a mixed-methods researcher, she seamlessly integrates quantitative rigor with deep qualitative context to build compelling, data-driven stories. Kayla leverages a wide range of methodologies— from in-depth interviews and digital diaries to large-scale surveys and UX testing – to tackle business initiatives like customer segmentation, message/concept testing, and competitive landscape analysis. With a passion for uncovering patterns and clarifying ambiguity, Kayla has a knack for connecting the dots between people, companies, and real business impact. She turns complex research into compelling stories that drive strategic outcomes. This approach has allowed her to lead high-impact research for industry giants in technology, gaming, and digital media, including Microsoft, Apple, Meta, Google, Electronic Arts, and Epic Games. When she isn’t decoding complex business challenges, Kayla can be found hiking, exploring art museums, having board game and movie nights, and car-aoke sessions on drives.

Annie’s inherent curiosity and passion for learning is reflected in her ability to conduct meaningful research that translates to bigger growth opportunities for organizations. Her professional career has spanned across industries such as food and beverage, hospitality, sustainable farming, and global CPG companies. Annie’s expertise is being able to piece together divergent perspectives into holistic solutions for long-term strategies at both corporate and business unit levels while building internal alignment. Outside of work, Annie loves to garden, listen to podcasts, and pick out new recipes to try from her collection of cookbooks.

Jerly joined the Emerald team as a Senior Research Manager in July 2026, bringing over 9 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, and. She is passionate about understanding consumer behavior and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that help organizations shape strategy, improve products, and identify growth opportunities. Her experience spans end-to-end research, including brand health studies, segmentation, concept testing, audience insights, and analytics across the technology, media, and entertainment industries. Jerly is based in Oregon, and outside of work she likes exploring the PNW, trying new hobbies, staying active, and spending time with her family.

Annabelle is a strategic insights leader specializing in thought leadership and business planning research for trailblazing enterprise technology organizations. Using rigorous quantitative and qualitative methods, she translates complex market dynamics into actionable business and go-to-market decisions. Her work spans agentic AI, cloud computing, and emerging technologies, partnering closely with product, marketing, engineering, and leadership teams to drive business impact.

Kathleen joined the Emerald Team as a Senior Research Analyst in March 2022. She holds a master’s in Applied Anthropology and has a particular passion for translating qualitative data into actionable insights. She is driven by a desire to understand the “why” behind how people behave. Prior to joining Emerald, she worked as a market research consultant for local governments, conducting resident surveys and running online communities. She also spent several years as the in-house evaluator for Pacific Science Center. Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys exploring the parks of Seattle, reading nonfiction, and trying out new recipes.

Karina joined the Emerald team in March 2021 as an analyst. With a knack for spotting unique findings and themes in the sea of data, Karina's expertise for generating breakthrough strategies grew from her time working at the University of Washington's Consulting and Business Development Center. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Karina led a team of over 30+ UW Foster students and partners in gathering, analyzing and synthesizing primary and secondary research to help small businesses recover from the effects of the new crisis. Always on the lookout for how to leverage research to support the local community, Karina enjoys traveling abroad, learning multiple languages, and exploring Pike Place's latest treasures.

Hannah joined Emerald in 2024 after graduating from the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business. She specializes in mixed-method consumer research, turning complex user stories into actionable narratives for clients ranging from Microsoft to Wizards of the Coast. Her background in freelance design and keen interest in psychology translate into sharp data visualizations that show the “why” behind nuanced data. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring used bookstores for new non-fiction reads, running the Burke-Gilman to the beach, and birdwatching with her cat.

Maria joined Emerald in January 2023 as a Senior Research Analyst. She holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics-Economics and a master's in Public Affairs, with a focus on data-driven policy. She is passionate about the intersection of data and human understanding, which she continues to explore and use to derive innovative and insightful solutions. Before joining Emerald, Maria worked as a quantitative market researcher for a variety of industries and audiences.

Kenneth comes to Emerald with a robust background in consumer insights and technology, showcasing a wealth of experience in deciphering market trends and harnessing technological advancements to drive impactful research outcomes. His passion lies in understanding people, weaving behavior patterns into compelling narratives that bring data to life. He has worked with clients spanning from the fields of technology to finance to put his touch on innovation and insights. Outside of work, Kenneth loves traveling to different destinations globally and trying out new cuisines/restaurants.

Hannah currently specializes in pricing and decision-making research, with a focus on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. Hannah leverages their skills in data visualization and mixed-methods analysis to help clients understand not just what the numbers say, but what to do about it. With a background in psychology from the University of Washington, Hannah brings a people-first perspective to every project, and is always looking for ways to make the data work harder for the people relying on it.

Zoey holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design and a master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. Her education provides her with both a design research and marketing research lens when approaching research questions. She has worked in product development in the cosmetics, textile, and health care industries and is an expert with front-end innovation methods, product and service design, and qualitative research. Understanding consumer psychology and uncovering motivations for purchase decisions is what excites Zoey the most about research. When not at work, Zoey enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, and rock climbing.

Ken is a versatile insights professional with a strong track record in tech and gaming research. He’s worked on both the vendor and client side-most recently at Xbox, supporting Turn 10 Studios-leading studies that inform product strategy, innovation, and brand positioning. Ken brings a deep curiosity and a desire to dive beneath the surface, blending quantitative rigor with qualitative understanding to uncover meaningful, actionable insights. Outside of research, Ken can be found enjoying one of his many hobbies: golfing, movies, karaoke, grilling, and visiting spots featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Raisa joined Emerald in August 2026 as a Senior Research Analyst. She has a background in quantitative social science, business analytics, and market research. Academically, she is trained in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and holds an M.S. in Business Management with a focus in market research and an M.A. in Political Psychology focused on public opinion and survey methods. Raisa previously worked in the retail industry and cares deeply about uncovering how people think and studying consumer behavior. She is a techie that enjoys keeping up with the latest gadgets in everything from the gaming industry to smart home technologies.

With 5+ years of experience in market research and insights, Linh helps organizations better understand the people behind the data. Her work spans B2B and B2C research across industries including technology, healthcare, consumer goods, food and beverage, environmental nonprofits, and construction. She has partnered with organizations including Microsoft, General Motors, and the CDC, among others. Her experience includes brand health tracking, customer segmentation, messaging and concept testing, innovation research, patient journey research, go-to-market strategy, and campaign performance measurement. Originally trained in qualitative research, Linh combines analytical rigor with a multicultural perspective shaped by international study and ethnographic research. She is passionate about translating human understanding into meaningful business impact and helping organizations build stronger connections with the people they serve.
